Geographic scope: Pacific Islands region (Oceania), including all countries and territories that are members of SPREP

Language of meeting: English

Who is welcome: While the meeting is targetted for Pacific Island countries and territories, everyone interested is welcome.

Specific goals of the 2009 meeting:

• Update information on turtles in the region including existing monitoring programme and the turtle tagging programme
  
• Session on methodology of turtle nesting monitoring and measurements
• Consideration of extend of a marine turtle MoU under CMS for the Pacific Islands
