TURTLE TOURS


The 2009 symposium occurs during the austral turtle season, so we have organised specially guided tours by Col Limpus's Queensland Turtle Research volunteers on the 23rd and 24th of February at each of three key rookeries:

  • Mon Repos
  • Curtis Island
  • Heron Island

You will be met each night by guides who can lead you to nesting turtles or marked turtle nests due to emerge. Numbers for the tours are not limited. However, you need to book your ow

  • Transport to your chosen rookery
