Where to stay
Stay as close as possible to the venue - that's where all the action is! Aim for easy walking distance to it, or at least to one of the connecting train stations (the venue has a station next to it).
Tips: always check the map to see the real distance between a hotel and the venue, don't rely solely on hotel website statements.Traveller reviews of hotels can be found at www.tripadvisor.com

How to book
There are two options for arranging your lodgings during the symposium:
(1) BOOK WITH US. Purchase one of the rooms we have already secured. We have blocks of rooms at several hotels for special symposium rates. If you want to book these rooms follow this link, which is also available within the Registration Portal. Be aware there are limited rooms available - FIRST IN BEST DRESSED!
|
Hotel (location and website links available on our map) |
Room type | Rate (AU$/night) |
| Chifley at Lennons | Deluxe room | $150 |
| Central West End Apartments | Studio suite | $162 |
| 1 Bedroom apartment | $194 | |
| 1 Bedroom deluxe apartment | $207 | |
| 2 Bedroom deluxe apartment | $275 | |
| Edmonstone Motel | Queen room | $129 |
| Riverside Hotel | 1 Bedroom apartment | $185 |
| Sapphire Resort | Queen/twin room | $105 |
(2) ARRANGE YOUR OWN. Pick your own hotel then contact them yourself to make a booking, ask your travel agent to do it for you, or book through an online accommodation service. Backpacker accommodation is the cheapest.
Tip: always compare prices between dealing with the hotel direct and using a booking service, keep an eye out for specials, and be aware of flexibility limitations. Online booking services require you to pay the full cost upfront, whereas hotels generally only request a booking deposit.
